sharing and permissions or full access???

i hate to cross post but i need some help bad.. i recently upgrading from win 7 utlimate x32 to win 7 pro x64.. there are some folders and a file, that in utlimate i might have put not to share..

anyway now that i install win pro on my secondary hard drive everything was fine, except one word doc and a folder containing like 200GB of Media. i dont know what i did in win ultimate but it looks like i made them unaviable. i will post screens. the word doc (title is in green?) and doesnt let me open. i can review the contents in the media folders, but when i play with VLC it comes up with all these error messages.

i tried "taking ownership" tool both in regular windows mode and in safe mode. i looked at the sharing for the folders but i dont really know how to mess with network sharing, im not even on a network, plug directly in with modem. i was messing around in the ultimate edition with sharing, because i was basically trying to create like a password to open that file and the folder that contain my media.

please if you can think of anything i would very much appreciate it, since im stuck. that word file has important personal information i need.

by the way i tried right click properties and the security tab but unsure of what to do in there. if maybe someone could help with aim and team viewer i would appreciate it so much.

You somehow locked yourself out of that file, not sure why you would need to do that if your not in a network?

i saw your post earlier regarding to these matters. check that post out. Your problem now is that the file was encrypted by your previous windows before you upgrading it, you go from ultimate 32 to pro 64 which contradicting.

yea the post said same thing "take ownership" ad i did that... i had ultimate x32 when i messed around and locked the file and one the folder.

then i updraded or downgraded to windows pro x64 but never took off the lock in ultimate. so now im back to where i was.. take ownership and do nothing?

If the file was encrypted in 32 bit and then you upgraded to 64 bit you are not going to be able to decrypt it

I assume you dont have a backup from the old system correct?
