    Access Point

    Hello, a little comprehension question: Is a AceesPoint a switch or a hub?

    A mean if you disable the most feature of it (firewall, DHCP,DNS,Routing) and you have no integrated switch. Only LAN and WAN ports.

    Thx to all

    Must be a Router

    It must be a Router, since it deals with your IP address not MAC address. Switches deal with MAC's addresses and Hub is just a repeater and it does not know nothing about IP or MAC.

    I mean a very simple WLAN Router, with disabled DHCP and DNS, it makes only WLAN is isnīt a router anymore. It makes only WLAN access and the other things makes CISCO-ROUTER (DHCP and routing). Is this function of a switch or of hub? Because the speed what you get from a switch is equal, and from a hub isīs divided by all user of it

    Example:
    "INTERNET"--->"CISCO-ROUTER" --->"WLAN-router"---> "My-PC"
