    Unidentified network help please

    hello,
i'm having problems with my network, a couple actually.
the first thing is well, i can't get on the internet while the other 5 computers in my house can. im using a wired connection, but when i look at my network its trying to connect to it says "unidentified network no network access". there is 3 other wired comps in my house and they are all fine but mine just doesn't seem to connect.
i have tried the following thing:
    ip config /release then /renew
    the winsock reset thing
this is where i run into another problem though
i also tried /ipconfig all to look for anomalies and my default gateway was completely blank and after some major googling i found that the ip address is a bad one because it gives a 169.254.xx.xx which i read happens because my router is giving me a bad ip address.

    also did the bonjour disable
another interesting thing i noticed when i did disasble/enable local area connections was that there were 2 of them. the problem is i have no idea which one im supposed to be using. they look like:
LOcal area connection: Nvidia nforce 10/100/1000 mbps ethernet (network cable unplugged) (but i have an ethernet cable in the back of my computer)
Local area connection 2: Unidentified network. Marvell yukon 88e8001/8803/8010 gigabit ethernet controller

is this normal? i have tried so many things to restore my internet connection but nothing seems to work.

thanks in advance for the help
p.s. im 18 so im not really good with the tech talk and stuff so if thats a problem im sorry. my dad isn't going to home for a couple days but i wanna try to fix this as soon as possible

    Not normal.

For some reason your router is not assigning an ip address to your computer. You may need to set a static ip address.

What kind of router do you use? Depending on the brand, the ip may be either 196.168.1.xxx or 192.168.0.xxx.

Also, try plugging the ethernet cable into the other ethernet port on your computer since you have more than one.

First you should uninstall all files associated with Bonjour service. After than follow the link below to fix the Unidentified network problem which is usually caused by an incorrect default gateway.
