Windows 7: Not Connected!!

Not Connected!!

My Windows 7 on my Gateway Lap Top NV78 , The icon will say Not Connected!!
but I'm on line all the time. Tried an delete my Norton 360 an still had the big red "X"
on the connection icon? I use to be able to watch movies from my lap top to my TV not any more since this happen?

P.S It also says HOME or work(private) networks Not Connected??

Will I did what you ask merkat106
No luck ? I still get the "RED X MARK" on the icon on the Tray?
Can't get my xbox 360 to see it like before?

Will even the restore fail and the Norton 360 also didn't work !!
But I have a program call Revo Uninstaller Pro an as looking thru the backup manager I notice 25 items were uninstalled within min apart from each other "found that strange"
so I restored each item and every thing work!!!!!
It repaired my Restore Points , Sound , and my Network Connection !!!
