Windows 7: wmp54gx linksys adapter

Has anyone found a driver that will run this adapter under Windows 7? I have the SRX version with the 3-foot antenna and a triple antenna. Under XP it pulled in connections from the far side of the 12 story, 200 unit brick and steel apartment building on the other side of a 200-foot wide road. Now it's a paperweight.

I am pretty disgusted with Cisco Linksys. The adapter was perhaps the very best available for XP. It was also one of the most expensive - but it worked so well it was worth it. But now that have simply walked away from the card. No driver for Windows 7.



This is a "G" card so the service is not obsolete.

I will never buy another item from Cisco. The risk of being orphaned again is too great.

Meanwhile, if someone has a solution to this situation, I'd appreciate hearing it.

Vista driver won't work?

Any issues showing in Devie Manager?

I have nop tried a Vista driver. I think the situation is the same, that is there is no Vista support either. They seems to have walked away from this adapter after XP.

But I'm game to try. Any suggestions where I'd find a Vista driver?

These are so cheap now-a-days I would buy a new card.

Is there a problem in Device Manager, for this adapter?

Btw, was just advising about vista driver working on Windows 7, in general.
