Internet Sharing via ethernet, XP and 7

I have a windows 7 machine and a XP netbook, the netbook connects through wireless and I can't figure out how to share the internet connection with my W7 PC through ethernet. Connecting my W7 directly to the router isn't an option.

    Thanks in advance.

Hello Randomuser, and welcome to Seven Forums.

I suppose that you could get a wireless USB key to use with your Windows 7 machine to connect wirelessly to your router to use the internet.

Out of curiosity, what is preventing you from connecting directly to your router? Most have at least 4 output connections.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

From notebook to wireless internet access, how is this achieved?

I suppose if you are going to ethernet the Pc to the notebook, then it doesn't matter how the notebook get's it's wireless internet connection. You might want to bridge the lan and wireless connection on the notebook to share net access.
