    Windows 7 newbie

Got a Dell XPS 420, bought Nov 2007, and running on Windows Vista. This is in my bedroom.

For the living room, recently bought a Dell Zino HD which connects to the television. This uses Windows 7 and I'm very happy with it.

So now, I want to upgrade my Dell XPS 420 to run on Windows 7. I want to do this as Windows 7 appears to offers better home networking than previous OS. Currently, I use Windows Live Sync. Also, I rather prefer Windows 7 over Vista.

On my Dell XPS vista machine, would much rather do a clean install than upgrade. Can the XPS machine cope with Windows 7 (Dell thinks not ) ? With a clean install, what about installing the drivers: network card, video card etc ?

    Thanks for any help...

The only way to be sure your rig will run win 7 is to run the upgrade wizard, though I suspect it can.

Thanks for the advice. Apologies, again for the duplication. Not often I do that.
