Hi there! I got an unusual network problem here. I had been using one desktop with a wireless usb adapter and another desktop was plugged directly into our Telus DSL router.
I had a home network setup with the homegroup, etc.
Well....I switched the network adapters around. I moved USB Wireless to the other computer and plugged my other computer directly into the modem.
The wireless usb computer is ok. However, this other desktop, which is now plugged directly into the DSL Router, upon reboot says there is no internet, which is not true. For example, i'll plug in a laptop or anything else and it immediately accesses the internet.
With our DSL modem, I don't require any passwords either when we plug in directly.
To, remedy this situation, I uninstall the network adapter and then let it reinstall itself and it immediately picks up the internet. But it's a pain in the ass to uninstall it every time I reboot. What the heck is wrong here. Is there a way to restore default network settings?
