    Connectify not working

    Hey guys

I'm trying to run connectify on my windows 7 ultimate x64 laptop. I've downloaded the lastest version 2 but I dont see the ''local area connection'' option.

I want to use my wired internet connection (i.e. ethernet) on my iphone (a wifi enabled device). Can someone please provide steps as to how this could be done on connectify version 2.

    Waiting eagerly for a reply.

    Many thanks.

Have you look at Connectify's site for support?

Yep, i've had a look at that but that doesnt give clear cut instructions on how to use your ethernet on other wifi devices. Also the screenshots shown are those of the lower versions and so its pretty difficult to follow what to do.

So I upgraded to Connectify Version 2.1 beta... but...

the speed rate on connecting computers is much, much slower. Anyone have an idea why that might be, or if others experiencing same problem? Tempted to go back to an earlier version, and no, connectify support has not gotten back to me (yet). Thanks.

I am having an issue as well, when i try to run connectify, my computer freezes up and i have to do a hard restart. then, i tried using the windows 7 wireless thing, going through the cmd prompt, and it froze up. my assumption is the wireless card BUT my only objection to that is, before i reinstalled windows 7 on my system, connectify worked just fine.. so.. i am lost for words and i have been working on this for 2 days and i have no idea what do to... any suggestions?

I would recommend you to try another virtual hotspot solution. I use Maxidix Hotspot and i`m pretty sure that this program allows to share internet from any connection available.
