    Ok, I'm going to have to go now, but thanks to everyone who's given advice and I will be back on later so if anyone gets any new ideas they'd be welcome!

    Just a guess from out here in left field, but if you had to disable the on-board wifi to get the Belkin to work, then perhaps the on-board wifi is just fine ... it just needed to be "Switched" on?

i have bsnl broadband connection.whenever i tried to connect it through my win 7 it gives me error 651 with pppoe.. I am on a wired connection through a modem,..modem is workng well with win xp..but not with win 7.
