Network cable not found
I am currently in a bit of a pickle
The problem is as follows: I have been using a wired connection succesfully for a number of years to the same router ( Belkin 54g ) and although there have been issues before it was still working as usual.
Then suddenly out of the blue one day my computer wouldn't pick up my wired network connection. I have been able to get it to work again somehow and seemingly random times but when my router is reset ( the connection is lost ) the problem returns and im left scratching my head and restarting the network device again ( which did work once. )
what I've tried so far:
I have disabled my network card ( built into my mother board ) and replugged in the cable about 50 million times
I have tried the cable in my laptop and it works perfectly.
I have unplugged, replugged the cables into my router and restarted it quite a few times.
I've tried using an belkin wireless ethernet bridge I had laying around which was detected.
Because of what I have tested I can only lead myself to beleive its either a driver issue or windows issue and I havent foggiest what.
Any help would be appreciated!
