    identical directories in Homegroup

When setting up my notebook, I activated several directories on my desktop for file
sharing through Homegroup. Whenever I deactivate one of these directories from my
desktop, it remains present, though inaccessible on my notebook. If I reactivate
the same directory, I wind up with more than one version of the directory on my
notebook. How do I eliminate the clones?

To get rid of those clones you need to "unshare" the file again for each extra copy you made. This need to be done from the machine where the file resides. After refreshing the page you will notice the extra copies disappear. I've made that mistake a few times now. :)
