Network Connection Problems - need help

My HP laptop doesn't seem to want to connect to the network or router I have.

It was working fine just the other day and past few days in fact. But for some reason it wont work this morning. I go to the troubleshooting screen and it tells me to reset or unplug my router since its telling me the router is the problem....

I did both of those and it still wont work. I shutdown and restarted my laptop and even removed the network from my computer...now I have to put the security code in every time and it still wont connect.

I don't see what the problem is. It was working just last night.

Just went outside and tried connecting to one of the weak and unsecured networks and it went through, so i can connect to others....must be my router then?
    Any thoughts please?

    Cam Hi and welcome

Have you tried connecting to your router without using encryption? It may be as simple as a password problem. I would first try connecting without encryption (no password) and if successful I would then try the correct password.

Let us know if you need assistance

Download and run the HP Home Network Diagnostic Utility. It will tell you precisely what type of wireless encryption you have and also provide you with your SSID (wireless network) password. (Click "Retrieve WPA/WEP Key" after clicking "Show Advanced Tools" to get your wireless network (SSID) password.)

This will at least give us a good starting point.

    I hope this helps!
