Network Printer : firewall issue, which port open ?

    Hello,

I just bought a Samsung network multifunction printer CLX-6210FX. I am encountering trouble wiht the built-in Windows 7 firewall. Despite the TCP port 9100 is open both for entry and exit in the firewall, no file will print untill I shut down totally the firewall.
Which port should I open ? Or which application should I grant access so that I don't need to shut down the firewall each time I want to print somthing ?
    Thanks for any help,

    MALESCOT.

How did you set your printer up? Is it hooked to a PC on your network, a printer Hub or your router?

It is hooked to an ethernet switch, connected to a router. My computer is connected to the same switch.
I don't think it is a router issue, as printing works as far as Windows 7 firewall is OFF.
    Thanks for your help !

I found a solution for my bug, which is not 100% safe but it works. I changed my default parameter regarding outbound connections in the firewall settings. I changed it to "allow outbound connections" except if a rule says to deny the connection for a specific software.
Of course, I did not change the way inbound connections are managed (refused by default, except if a rule allows it).

Thanks for your help, have a good day !
