    Firewall Problem

Hey. firstly I need to say my english is not so good.

I've got my pc 2 weeks ago and i have a firewall problem. I'm not using any firewall or virus protection program, and even i turned off the windows firewall no program(excepting Opera and IE) is able to connect internet. When i try to install Chrome it takes me to this page and when i try to use firefox it always says "no internet connection" just like uTorrent. Shortly all the programs (including filezilla or game updates) are not able to connect internet because of a firewall but there is no one. what should i do?

ps: i've turned off my router's firewall too.

Is it possible your router has a built in Firewall? If you don't know could you provide the model, manufacturer and version? Thanks.......

Router has a firewall but it's disabled too but i didn't understand what do you mean with built-in.
It's Airties rt-206 v2tt and as i say when i run at safe mode it all works.

Built in means it is in the router's hardware, often called a hardware firewall, since you said it is disabled you more than answered my question, thanks.

Upon doing a little research your ADSL Modem/Router is Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP and Vista compatible so it may be a little long in the tooth (getting a bit old). There is a firmware update here http://www.airties.com/destek_doc_en...celleme_en.pdf and I suggest you check the driver as well since Safe Mode loads the MS driver and it works obviously something gets fluky in normal mode.

Then I'd try what CaptJackSparrow tell's the OP in that post: You can boot you computer in Selective Startup
This would basically disable All the unwanted application and only the Windows system services will load.
