Low latency and unstable speed Hello,
I'm using windows 7 x64
I made a fresh install couple of days ago, and I'm experiencing this problem ever since.
I noticed the problem while I was playing a LAN game.
The game lagged alot, and was unplayable.
When I played the game offline it worked fine.
I went to Speedtest.net and had a ping of 500+ ms,
and when the download speed was tested it wasn't consistent, the speed changed every second (+-1 MBps every second).
I made another test using my iPhone after connecting to the same network via wi-fi. the ping showed 40ms and the download speed was consistent.
My drivers are up to date,
Maybe I'm missing something, but I couldn't find similar problem on the internet.
Hope to find my help here
Thanks for your time!
p.s I tried connecting via both wi-fi and direct Cable, same results | My System Specs |

I think your machine is fine. You might think about updating the firmware on your router and then checking the speed again after to compare the results. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home built OS Windows 7 Ult, Windows 8 Pro, CPU Q9650-4.275GHz, E8600 4.5GHz, E6750-3.8GHz Motherboard Evga 780i FTW Memory G.Skill PC2 9600 1200Mhz 5 5 5 15 2T Graphics Card GTX480 Sound Card Asus Xonar D2 Monitor(s) Displays HannsG Screen Resolution 1680X1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Mouse Logitech G9 PSU ThermalTake Toughpower 1000Watt modular Case ThermalTake XaserV Cooling Xigmatek S1283 Hard Drives GSkill Phoenix Pro 120GB SSD Internet Speed T1 |

Problems are when you get intermittent bars in the yellow and red.

It has nothing to do with the router, because the problem happens even if I connect to other wi-fi networks.
It's somethings with the network settings, or some program that is causing it..
I just can't think of any special program that may cause this. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Enterprise x64 CPU E6750 @ 3.2 Memory 4GB Graphics Card 88GT Low latency and unstable speed problems? All times are GMT -5. The time now is 01:04 AM. | |
