    3G Usb broadband connection


    i have 2 computers at home, xp and win7, how can i share the internet connection of 3G USB, when its plugged into winxp system to win 7 computer and vice versa

    i have linksys wireless G 2.4 GHz router, but it has no usb port....... pls explain in detail how to setup the wireless router for 3G usb

    i also have microsoft virtual miniport adapter set, but i dont know how to convert it into wifi hotspot for 3G

    Kf, please fill out your specs where you see the lower left of your screen, also please provide your Cisco/Linksys model number please.

    i am not sure what spec's u are asking for??????????????

    one is dell vostro 1.6GHz Dual Core, 1GB RAM, Win7
    other one is Dell inspiron Pentium M 2.6GHz, 1.5GB RAM, Winxp

    the linksys wireless router is WRT54G, with 4 LAN ports and one internet port.

    How far apart are the computers? Are they in the same room location or in separate rooms?

    one is on the 2nd story, the other one on 1st story of the house. but sometimes they are on the same floor.

    Can you confirm that you are able to connect, wireless, either (one at a time) of your computers to the broadband from either of the locations above?
    Is your connection via the router?

    they just gave me the USB which contains the driver, the same driver worked for both xp and 7, without requiring any CD. they havent given me any router, maybe its wimax instead of 3G. usb is working for both xp and 7 fine on both locations.

    pls also tell me whats the use of microsoft virtual miniport adapter set
