W7 Disable autotuning without 65535 Limitation

    Hello All,

In Win 7 (and Vista) I know we can disable TCP/IP auto-tuning. But what that essentially does is it will limit the RWIN size to 65535, whether you turn on of off the tcp1323opts.

Does anybody know how I can disable auto-tuning and also enable window sizes greater than 65535? (I essentially want to have XP type behavior)?

    Regards,

For auto-tuning to set disable, open a "cmd" prompt with admin right then type:

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled, but will still limited at 65535.

I think you'll have to registry manually do it to change the receive windows.

Unfortunately nothing I change in the registry allows me to go beyond 65535.
