Which networking tutorials for ethernet and for wireless?

Like many others at this site, I am new to network sharing and need some direction with using the great tutorials you folks have supplied. I have a Linksys wrt320N router hooked into my desktop that allows me to wireless use my laptop. Both computers have Windows 7 HP 64-bit. Most of the time, though, the laptop is used with an ethernet cable connected to the desktop's modem.

I understand that I can share files between these two computers, but I'm pretty shaky on how to do it. So, which tutorials will instruct me on how to communicate between these computers? And, will I need to learn one tutorial for ethernet connected computers and one tutorial for wirelessly connnected computers?

I did mine yesterday. It was very simple. Basically you have to make sure each computer is set up to share file & folders. Then you enter a code into each one.

1 thing I didn't realize though. If I want to see something on another computer it has to be in 1 of the 4 folders. Music, Pictures, Documents, Library. It's not like you can log into that computer and go searching around everywhere.

Just follow the on screen directions and you will get it.

Of course NOT as easy as it looked... When I went to follow the suggested tutorial above, I found out that I alreeady had formed a homegroup network and had Joined on both computers. And, having already done that, I never was able to get to the screen(s) where I put in each of the passwords. So, as I already have each computers' password, I now need to find out where to put these passwords in order to form a connection between the two (I think).
