Windows 7: Odd Internet Connection Problem

I just upgraded my computer from Vista to Windows 7. My problem is from my computers ability to connect to my network. The computer says that I am fully connected, and should have internet connection. I have full access to my wireless network and can access http://192.168.1.1/ to change my router settings. But I cannot connect to any other webpages, it just tells me I cannot connect to server. I've tried updating my router firmware and downloaded a nvidia nforce network controller, but neither did anything. Any ideas?

Could be a misconfigured dns. Check it. Could be the upgrade changed it for some reason, or there's also malware floating around the net that changes the dns settings.
Unless the router is configured to disallow access to your machine, or your isp is down, should have access if you can reach your router successfully.

I wish I could like to say I know what you mean....but I don`t. How can I reconfigure my dns?

Go to the start menu, in search type cmd, then hit enter. In the black screen, type ipconfig, hit enter.

Make sure it says 255.255.255.0 for Subnet Mask.
192.168.1.1 for Default Gateway.
And also that your ip address is 192.168.1.xxx

Then you could try

ipconfig /flushdns

Your dns should be the same as your default gateway, which is 192.168.1.1.

Check it by doing ipconfig /all

Then do:

ping www.google.com

Are the pings coming back returned successfully?

Finally, make sure that in whatever browser you are using, that no proxy is set, as opposed to auto-detect. Can you access google using this address? http://64.233.161.104/
