Information about the release and download can be found here: 64bit Java released! - Vista Forums
About time!
And this isn't ADOBE, haha, they probably need another 6 months to do a flash plugin for x86-64
ok ok this is sun...

i thought flash for some reason...lol
not going to modify it for laughs...lol

i know john has it on his machine right john

I dislike how I can't run Firefox and Minefield at the same time without separate profiles, lame. IE is much better at this with it not being profile based. Too bad IE uses the same damn ICON for both programs so its pointless to try to keep both in my quicklaunch
64bit JAVA has been available for a long time - what is *specifically* now available is that in the 6u12pre (trunk builds) they have released a working (seemingly) Java *plugin* for 64bit browsers - on their web site it states specifically that they are focusing on 64 Windows and 64bit *nix....
And lots pf people are already complaining that it is not working correctly....
Works fine here.
