That is a unique set of conditions under which the freeze occurs. Most freezes we encounter are not going to be influenced by this fix.

Well I got the fix, but I'll wait for something bad to happen again before I apply it.

So it just stops randomly when you are doing something? Or is it the same things that it locks up on?

I won't apply the fix until I encounter this issue.

I've been troubled with freezes since I bought this computer back in March. Haven't had a problem since installing the hotfix on Saturday. Here's hoping...

I get the IE freezing about once a week. There is no pattern that I can see that makes it do this.
I do run a couple of external devices off of my car replicator. I installed the hot fix this morning, so I will see what happens.

Is this in 64 & 32bit or one in particular?

Shows why sensible companies wait for a minimum of Service pack 1 with a new OS - just imagine having 10's of thousands of 'puters "randomly locking up" with no remote access etc!

Dunno if its any help but i found that Microsoft Silverlight was the cause of my freezes - uninstalled it now for about 2 weeks n not 1 freeze - just out of curiosity do you all have silverlight installed??
