As for Dell stating this sounds like they are just trying to make them self's look that the company that got Microsoft to lower prices in the eyes of the average Best Buy shopper. As for everyone else in the real world we know the truth Dell should be considered the biggest bloat software loader of all time.
not even Microsoft is greedy enough to double the price, and no I am not in trouble, if they raise the price many many people will just stick with vista.

Probably if you actually bought Vista you could always buy an upgrade which isn't that expensive...
Yeah, i bought Vista. I actually upgraded from Vista to Win 7 Build 7000, and i didn't like the way it went. it was not very responsive, and there seemed to be quite a few gliches. Although thats why there is beta testing i suppose. it took about 3 hours to complete the upgrade as well. Maybe things will have changed by now though.
What was the cost of upgrading to vista? or upgrading from Home premium to Ultimate? just to give me an idea of cost!
Edit: How much approximetly would it cost for a Windows 7 computer with this.
