I know this is one of Intel's goals (even though I think I would prefer a dedicated card, since I don't think Intel's graphics are as good as NVidia). | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell Inspiron 1520 (Laptop)/ Home (Desktop) OS Windows 7 x64 / Same CPU Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 / Intel Core i7 930 Motherboard Intel 945 / Asus P6X58D-E Memory 4GB / 6GB Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS / ASUS 1GB Sound Card Whatever Dell gave me :-( / Onboard Monitor(s) Displays 15.4" LCD / Crappy CRT Mouse Microsoft Presenter (Bluetooth) PSU N/A / OCZ Fatal1ty 550W Modular Case N/A / Antec 900 Cooling Air Hard Drives Seagate 500GB SATA; 7200 RPM / Seagate 1TB SATA; 7200 RPM |

AMD is working on their Fusion chip which will combine the CPU & GPU functions into a APU chip. GPU's are not just for graphics anymore and AMD is trying to take advantage of the various strengths of the CPU and GPU and come up with a new device. Maybe out next year so we will see how it works out. Looks like this MS chip is specialized for the XBOX.

The new Core i5 also has the GPU from the GMA4500HD chipset built into the CPU and this was launched back in January I think. If you have a compatible MB with the display adaptors you don't need a seperate graphics card as the CPU does it all for you. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Acer Travelmate 5730 - Custom built PC OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 - Windows 7 Pro x64 CPU Intel Core 2 Duo T6570 - Intel Core i5-650 Motherboard Intel Mobile 4 Series - Gigabyte GA-P55-US3L Memory 4GB DDR2 667 - 6GB DDR3 PC3-10700 Graphics Card Intel GMA4500MHD - Nvidia GeForce GTX460 Sound Card Realtek ALC268 - Realtek ALC888 Monitor(s) Displays Built in LCD - Philips Screen Resolution 1280 x 800 - 1280 x 1024 Keyboard Logitech Media Elite Mouse Microsoft standard wireless mouse PSU Not sure on make but 600W Case Not sure but from PC World Cooling Standard Intel cooler Hard Drives 1 x 500GB SATA - Laptop

I can see something like that being used in a netbook. Who wouldn't want longer battery life, less weight, and cooler temps inside. The way things are going we will end up with desktop PC's which are very powerfull but little bigger than a CPU.
If you think about it, before you know it a PC will consist of a monitor, keyboard, mouse and the base unit will be the size of a wallet. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell Inspiron OS Windows 7 CPU 2.4 GHz Intel i3 cpu Memory 8GB Mouse MS Explorer Mouse Internet Speed 100 Mb/s |

Mind you the thought of doing complex Excel spreadsheets on a screen the size of a typical smartphone doesn't appeal to me one bit I'm afraid.
Cheers
