Microsoft has released an update designed to improve the performance of DirectX 11 in Windows 7, as well as in Windows Server 2008 R2. | | Not sure where Softpedis got the idea this was a DirectX 11 update, as none of the files that get updated are DirectX 11 files, An update is available for Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2 which provides new functionality and performance improvements for the graphics platform  Probably find this update has more to do with the upcoming release of Internet Explorer 9, and the fact that it will be using (or capable of using, if the hardware support is there) Direct2D. |
