This might be old news but Adobe did release a 64 bit version of Flash.(beta) works great on IE 8 and IE 9. Haven't tried it on Firefox because I stopped using a while ago.

I've installed the 32 bit 4.07bpre and it, along with the Flash plugin-container, will show as a "*32" process in task manager.

the 4.0b7pre is a pre-release BETA, there are no 64 bit releases. it is 64 bit (works if you unzip it into a c:\program files\firefox\ folder too) but is not finished code and represents the nightly trunk builds with many bugs and some incomplete or non-working features. there are private 64 builds by third parties you can find via google, but they are not 'official'. mozilla made a statement just a few days ago that 64 bit firefox would not happen till sometime after 4.0 was released. facepalm time for mozilla.

Finally, I can run my x64 browser and get full web experience.

Now running Minefield 4.0b7pre and Adobe flash square for x64 as my default browser setup. I of course have x86 installed along side just in case it is needed but the 7pre seems very stable so far and I have not had to fall back to the x86 browser yet.

Update:
I have seen ONE issue that is very repeatable. When quoting/editing an existing post (has not happened on new post yet) on Windows 7 forums when I hit the end of a line of text the browser closes with an error. It can be the first line or the 6th line but it happens every time so far. Solution is to use the x86 browser to edit posts.

Bob, that has been my experience as well. Thanks for sharing.

I also keep the IE9 x64 build available for testing purposes.

In my estimation the FF 4.07bpre build is getting better each day. The Flash stability is definitely evident. I've had few total dumps (program just shuts down without warning) but they are rare. The worst one, so far, was early yesterday morning where I had written a rather lengthy reply to a poster on these boards and FF just "quit" before I had a chance to post. I had to start the reply over.

Yes I have experienced this myself, just edited my previous post with this same info. Still if this is the only problem then x64 is stable enough for daily use. Solution to issue.....use the x86 browser to edit a post.
