Yowanvista,
You should probably edit the download link in your first post to link to the following page instead, as last I checked 'direct download' links are not something that are preferred. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html
EDIT: I see the link has been added, thank you.

Firefox 4 Beta 5/Pre-Beta 6 extremely poor performance. Hello everyone,
I decided to try out Firefox 4 Beta 5 and Minefield Pre-Beta 6 and even a 64-bit version of the Minefield. All seem extremely choppy.
Anyone else having this issue? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom | Whitebox OS Windows 7 Ultimate, OS X 10.7, Ubuntu 11.04 CPU Intel E6750 @ 3.80GHz Motherboard Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3L (Revision 1.1) Memory 2x2GB & 2x1GB (6GB) OCZ Reaper 1066MHz @ 1080MHz Graphics Card EVGA nVidia GTX 260 896mb (216 Core) FTW Edition Sound Card Realtek ALC888 Monitor(s) Displays 21" VIZIO TV Screen Resolution 1680x1050 @ 60Hz Keyboard Logitech Wireless S520 Mouse Logitech Wireless S520 - Microsoft Wireless Arc Mouse PSU Corsair 750W Case NZXT Nemesis Elite Cooling Thermaltake SpinQ Hard Drives Western Digital WD6401AALS - 640GB

There are still problems when you enable hardware acceleration (visual artifacts) also tab preview still doesnt work well. Quote: problem 2. when you start it it freezes for about 30 seconds. whole thing is unresponsive, cant minimize, close it or anything. The freezing at the start is very annoying. But the biggest problem is the speed it's terrible. When chrome loads pages instantly, Firefox takes five seconds. Sure i know Firefox is not meant for speed but at least they can improve into at least two seconds of chrome.
If this is the final beta lease they have a lot of work to do before they release a stable version.
On the plus side, I like the new menu.
Edit: When I turn hardware acceleration off it loads pages as nearly as fast as chrome. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self-built on 31/1/11 OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit CPU Intel i5 2400 @ 3.80 GHz Motherboard Ashrock P67 Extreme 4 Memory Mushkin Silverline 996768 4GB Graphics Card MSI GTX 460 760MB Cyclone Overclocked Sound Card Integrated Monitor(s) Displays Asus VH202T 20" Widescreen Screen Resolution 1600x900 Keyboard Logitech Wireless Keyboard MK520 Mouse Logitech M310 PSU Silverstone Strider 500W Case Zalman Z9 Plus Cooling Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus Hard Drives SSD: OCZ Vertex 2 60GB

I don't believe this is the final beta, nor do I believe hardware acceleration has been perfected. I am running Beta 5 with only a couple of addons, on Windows 7 x64, and the browser is crash-less and lightning-fast. Thus, I'm very surprised that I seem to be the only one for whom it is working well... | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Alienware X51 OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 CPU Intel Core i7-2600 @3.40GHz Memory 8.00GB DDR3 Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 555 w/1.0GB RAM Monitor(s) Displays BenQ XL2420TX Screen Resolution 1920x1080@120Hz Keyboard Logitech Wireless Illuminated Keyboard K800 Mouse Razer Orochi PSU 330-watt Hard Drives 1TB Internet Speed Campus Internet Firefox 4.0 beta 5 released problems?
