Hello everyone,
I decided to try out Firefox 4 Beta 5 and Minefield Pre-Beta 6 and even a 64-bit version of the Minefield. All seem extremely choppy.
Anyone else having this issue?
i ... tried but it wont turn off. tho looking at it right now, seems they fixed the main problems i had in the first place (havent tried in 4 tho) they fixed the new menu with a persona

1 problem down.
problem 2. when you start it it freezes for about 30 seconds. whole thing is unresponsive, cant minimize, close it or anything.
problem 3. hardware acceleration needs fixing
There are still problems when you enable hardware acceleration (visual artifacts) also tab preview still doesnt work well. At least Adblock plus works now...
The freezing at the start is very annoying. But the biggest problem is the speed it's terrible. When chrome loads pages instantly, Firefox takes five seconds. If this is the final beta lease they have a lot of work to do before they release a stable version.
On the plus side, I like the new menu.

I don't believe this is the final beta, nor do I believe hardware acceleration has been perfected. I am running Beta 5 with only a couple of addons, on Windows 7 x64, and the browser is crash-less and lightning-fast. Thus, I'm very surprised that I seem to be the only one for whom it is working well...
