I add the fact that tabs are at the top. There should be an option to put the tabs below the address bar because currently, the interface is terrible.
I agree. Having the address bar all scrunched up like that is not productive for me.

In addition, due to the address bar and the page tabs being on the same line, it means that I cannot view the full address. True, I can adjust the size of the bar, but at the cost of a reduction in size of the page tabs, meaning that it can be difficult to see at a quick glance which page you have in which tab. What I would like to see is the address bar being replaced above the page tabs with the search box to the right of it as in the IE8 interface.
at least an option to put the address bar on a different line. I currently hate it the way it is and it's most likely a showstopper for me.

Oh God .. I'm in Office stuck with my XP machine .. Have to get home to Test IE 9
Go home NOW, it will be worth it.
Well, I'm not sure that I would agree with that. It's pretty uneventful from my perspective. But then again, I've never been a big fan or user of IE.

I wonder if anyone has found a way to put the tabs below the address bar instead of the right in IE 9 Beta? The reason is I have some older monitors with lower resolutions and tab space is quite limited on these.

Hopefully Microsoft will remedy this issue at least as an option in the final version of IE 9.
I'm hoping for the same thing. The way it is right now is a deal breaker for me.

It tells me its already been installed. I dont know either. That Groove GFS Browser helped doesn't have anything to do with it?
Disable it and check if it works, but remember to restart the browser.

Thats what I think the problem is. When I first installed IE9 it told me that if I unistalled some of my add-ons it would startup and run faster so I did so. This was one of the add-ons I disabled and now it won't ket me enable it again.I click enable but nothing happens.

goto the gear, then click on internet options, then click on general tab, then click settings next to change search defaults, then right click on your search provider and click enable suggestions.

I'm not sure about this, but try a computer restart, it's worth trying, just in case.

Both bing and google hav enable search suggestions checked. Maybe I should install IE8 back and then reinstall IE9.

How about the same thing (i suggested earlier) but instead did you disable top results. Try re enabling top results.

I checked add ons and I don't think disabling them would have anything to do with it but you can go into manage add ons and right click each an re enable them.

In your position, I would, simply remove IE9 then reinstall, when you open it, don't disable add-ons when it offers you to do so.
