Google Engineer Fired over Privacy Violations - SoftpediaGoogle has confirmed firing one of its engineers, who according to some reports snooped private information from user accounts and harassed minors, for actions that broke internal privacy policies.

I'm no legal beagle but I do wonder if Federal charges can be made.
This is super creepy. I'm not surprised that someone crossed the line. But stricter oversight may be needed on Google's part.
Google is beginning to seriously scare me.
This among other things is why I only use Google for searching (and somewhat neutered at that using the OptimizeGoogle extension in Firefox), and refuse to install or use any of their other programs or services.
