No worries on that score.

jimbo This seems to be true as of today, who knows about tomorrow. There is a lot of different info floating around, including replies from the TechNet people.

As Microsoft has not kept their end of the bargain I have sent them an email to cancel my subscription and request a full refund as they have broken a contract or I will have to take legal action.
I have now received an email back saying that they will refund me in full as I am not happy.
This shows me that they have broken the contract, if only everybody would take them on, but obviously that is not going to happen. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self build OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU AMD Phenom II x4 Motherboard Gigabyte 880 Memory 8GB Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce HD Sound Card Realtek HD Audio Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 PSU Thermalake 550w Case XCase Hard Drives 2 x 1TB Internet Speed 8MB |

That's what is WRONG WRONG WRONG. Is there anything in that deal that you originally signed that told you exactly how many keys you got and how many activations?

... this is just not cricket - has anybody received any notification from m$ about the recent changes?
what's to stop them from making more changes any time they want to in the future? taken to the extreme, maybe there's something hidden in the 7 eula that says microsoft can just 'turn you off' if they feel like it.
it's also a shame that there's nothing we can do about it, except rant here - and i'm teed off that i didn't harvest my keys earlier - i'd only used two 7 keys.
and such a draconian reduction too! 10 -> 2 pff scumbags and sleazeballs indeed
this could lead to more piracy, not less... | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number mickey megabyte 1234 OS ultimate 64 sp1 CPU i5 2500K 3.3@4.2GHz Motherboard MSI P67A-GD53 Memory 8 gigs GSkill Ripjaws 1600 Graphics Card amd hd6950 Sound Card creative x-fi gamer Monitor(s) Displays samsung 24" Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard saitek eclipse ii Mouse logitech g3 PSU antec 550 Case antec three hundred Cooling i'm a cooling fan Hard Drives ocz vertex 2e 60 gig, samsung f3 1tb, buffalo 2tb ext Internet Speed about 4 Mbps Other Info i love win7 |

I have a sub that I did not renew that expired on 6 August all thos keys are still working. The new sub? Who knows?
As previous posters have said it is the fact that they are just walking all over us that is getting me. Why should we allow it? I really do not want to, have no intention, have had not intention and will never 'steal' their products. Therefore why should they alter a contract that I have enterered into with them? If I did that they would bring the full force down on me. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self build OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU AMD Phenom II x4 Motherboard Gigabyte 880 Memory 8GB Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce HD Sound Card Realtek HD Audio Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 PSU Thermalake 550w Case XCase Hard Drives 2 x 1TB Internet Speed 8MB |

Best advice....read the Eula. When you purchase software, you don't "own it". You have been granted a license to "use" it. You made a choice and responded in what I consider a proper manner. You have my respect.
