The complete package comes just over a month after a beta refresh was issued on August 17. Microsoft originally released a Windows Live Essentials beta on June 24. Essentials includes the popular programs Windows Live Movie Maker, Mail, Writer, Sync, and Family Safety. The Windows Live team has aimed to ensure that the next version of Windows Live Essentials takes advantage of Windows 7 fully. All applications now use the new ribbon UI and integrate further into Windows 7 by using Jumplists. Windows Live Sync is also included which keeps your files synchronized on the web and across multiple PCs.

Different hardware, different setups, different results.

I know Chris (Zidane24) had a problem in the first beta, when he had the nVidia drivers installed on his laptop (8600M GT 512mb) he had some graphical errors with the contact list (the spot that you enter a status or message at the top wouldn't display properly).

The only problem I have had occasionally, is that it sometimes greys over and says that it has stopped working and is searching for a solution. I hope that this has been sorted out.

P.S. I am referring of course to Windows live Mail, not the other programs.

yes mine freezes at start up as well. I think its propagating the list of emails. I assume you have quite a lot.

I also think this freezing will disappear in final version since the code "should" be optimized with no beta code.

It runs fine for up to four or five days, then has a little fit. It will run perfectly immediately after restarting it. It does it whether or not there are e mails to download. It is a common complaint as can be seen with a Google search.

Yes! Today is a good day. I have been looking forward to this. Been lucky personally and have had zero issues while using the betas. Big WLM fan here.
