It has indeed expired but I cant even view my emails in outlook or my excel files. I get the message in a window:-

Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010
    Activation Wizard
    Your beta software has expired.
Use Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel to remove the beta software from your computer.

with the options help or close. If you click help it tells you how to buy it. If you click close it closes the application. How do I view my emails and files? Anyone know?

You can't. Download Open Office, it should open your office files mostly ok. Email... no idea.

At my department our Office 2010 Beta just expired too and caught management pants down even though we (IT) have been raising hell about this for the past 3 weeks.

Sure, Open Office works and is for the most part a decent replacement - but if you guys work with Pivot Tables I can only say that MS Office 2010's Excel's Pivot Tables are really nice to work with, the OO alternative (Calc) doesn't quite cut it and the functionality in Office 2000's Excel doesn't even come close.

It's Not Cheating. The savings you get are massive (office academic for $100 :O) but it comes with a catch, you have to be a student or a staff member thats work at a Uni/Tafe.
