    Forrester: Windows 7 powers 1 out of every 10 business PCs


    While Windows 7 is running on only one out of every 10 PCs at North American and European businesses,that percentage will grow considerably in the coming year, according to a new report from Forrester Research.

    Between June and August of this year, Forrester surveyed more than 2,300 2,321 IT execs in the U.S., Canada, France, German and the UK. These individuals represented both small/mid-size business and enterprise companies with two or more employees

    Hi there
    Not sure what this piece of information is good for -- it's pretty obvious that Corporate take up of W7 will lag behind domestic users for all sorts of reasons that have been thrashed out here before
    namely compatabilty with existing Corporate Back end software such as Oracle, SAP, CRM etc etc, adequate testing before Roll out, end user training etc etc etc.

    W7 will certainly be very much more prominent over the next couple of years but this is neither a quick or cheap process for large businesses to adopt.

    This has NOTHING whatever BTW to do with how bad or good W7 is -- this is simply a fact of how large businesses work -- as I'm sure anybody who has been involved in major roll outs of any large scale project will be aware of.
