OK, I was wrong to say all Microsoft customers, but in my own opinion Vista was a failure.

If you like it then fine, a person's operating system choice is down to their opinions, that's why the Mac vs. PC argument will never end, because it's based on opinions and no one is changing theirs.

Although, if you look at my specs, you will see I have Vista Basic installed regardless of my opinion
It is possible that you don't like Vista because you are using the "basic" version that lacks many of the "goodies" that enhance the Vista experience

Not really, I don't like it because in my opinion it's bloated, counter intuitive, it dosent work with my printer, and it's very buggy.

My latest problem is that it wouldn't let me print a simple Word 2007 document.

That's why I'm interested in Seven, because apparently it's fixed up a lot under the hood and the UI has small improvements here and there to make things better.

well you have to ask yourself

is your printer supported by vista???

this is not vista's problem its the hardware manufacturer's problem if its not supported....

i hate how people put the whole blame on Microsoft only to be also faulty drivers made by lazy programmers not following the standards.....

i mean MS has some blame in this but not as much as most people give credit to....

sorry to be rude but i vista isnt all that bad either...

as i say again sorry to be rude to you.....

It should be, a new OS should be able to let me print things without me buying a whole bunch of new hardware, and I think this sort of stuff - the notorious driver problems - is a large part of why many regard Vista as a failure.

There are more things, too, the problem I had before that is that the Windows Update app crashed every time I tried to use it, and that little update icon disappears whenever I click it without anything opening.

Anyway, like I said earlier, a person's choice of OS is down to opinions so lets not argue :)

It could be that you've hacked your Vista up, as I see what you've done with the WEI in Vista, you can't expect 'things' to operate correctly when changed internally.

As I tried to tell you earlier; the majority of the people that frequent these forums like Vista and don't appreciate Vista bashers. Also as I said earlier, you're entitled to your opinion, just please limit it's display at these forums to quell any "discussion" along those lines.

    Thank you!
