    Airbot,
Do you know if you can make a "super" beta like preview 6?
    Thanks

Build an IE9 Super Beta with IE9 PP6 and IE9 Beta - Softpedia

I have done that and use it on occasion.

    I see. I wouldn't know, I don't use any IE9 builds.

I would rather see them release new updates to the beta rather than the platform preview. I want to see how enhancements made to the rendering engine will improve the real life browsing experience. More people would then be able to find bugs and test out the rendering engine far better in the beta, than a platform preview. As far I can see, the beta still needs more works to provide a more smoother browsing experience.

I agree. Why not use some of the fixes in the actual beta builds. Are they just trying to make sure all beta builds have the added bonus of all the platform preview testing each time?

I don't recommend this. I tried it and it severely decreased the stability of IE9. Whenever I opened a tab, there was an 80% chance of it crashing on startup.

Platform previews aren't meant to be used by normal users, beta release(s) are. If MS thinks users would need another beta before the final release, there will be another beta, that's it.
