Yeah it's fast (compared to IE8) and has a great UI. But (for me at least) is still no where as fast as Chrome.
No where near as fast as Chrome? Give me a break! There are quite a few benchmarks where IE9 does better than Chrome like hardware acceleration and even javascript. Latest adobe beta also works better on IE9 btw. IE9 and firefox4 come fast from behind and Chrome is no longer the undisputed performance king.

Pfft benchmarks really don't show you much, im talking about real life situations and for me Chrome is faster. I have all the major browser and their betas (FF4, Opera 11) and on my computers Chrome is still reasonably faster, when according to the benchmarks Opera and FF should be speeding ahead.

It really depends on what set up you have and how decent you Internet speed is.

Loving it :) Been using 64-bit beta for everything at home except NetFlix (which uses Silverlight... c'mon 64-bit!) - wish I could use it at work as well, but their still all XP machines

I'm looking forward to getting IE9 when the final release comes out. Until then I'll leave all you good guineas to have at it. :)

You don't know how right you are oink! oink! I almost cryed weeeee all the way home untill i uninstalled it lol
    LOL.

I expect some systems would run it without so much as a small wee, while others would not and with my luck....

Does anyone know how close this is to final?
