It looks allot nicer then the Avast UI, although it's not hard to do that.
Eh.. I'll probably wait for it to be available from Microsoft.

I did a quick scan right after i installed 7260 and it took about 10 minutesHave you scanned with it yet? What was it like? Scans slow down my computer so much, I rarely do them while I'm awake.
i'm using right now... is very ligh and easy to use...
If really works? Only time will tell...
I found it by accident when looking for Win 7 walls. Downloaded it and am now up and running. It came in three favors
1. mssefullinstall-amd64fre-en-us-viata 1.0 (Running this one on Vista)
2. mssefullinstall -x86fre-en-us-vista 1.0
3. mssefullinstall-x86-en-us-xp 1.0
As you can see it covers Vista and Xp (would think it might work with 7 using Vista Mode (haven't tried 7 yet).
It loaded up with no problems. Ran a scan then went to the Update tab, and ran the update. Update went smoothly; from there went to settings where you are offered two membership settings:
1. Basic Membership which uploads to MS just basic information about your system so as to determine how the program is working.
2. Advanced membership: In addition to basic information, MSE sends more information to Microsoft malicious software, spy-ware, and potentially unwanted software, including the location of the software, file names, how the software operates, and how it has impacted your computer. (I choose the advanced).
I have been using it for several hours with no apparent problems thus far.
Will test it on Win 7 some time later today.
I noticed one of the comments was about the amount of memory being used (24m); not sure why because I am using only 7.2 m of memory, and 11 Mb of disk space. AVG used 68 Mb of disk space and about the same amount of memory as MSE. Thus far there appears to be no drag on the system as some AV software tends to have. I have run a series of applications through their paces (Photoshop CS4, Lightroom 2.4, Canvas 11, VMware 6.5, all MS Office applications, Firefox, Opera, IE8, Quicken, and WMP 11, and there has been no problems as of yet, and hopefully never. :)
