What is Acid3 and what does it test?
And they have an Add-ons for IE8 now, but since its not open source so it will only be what M$ decides to make...... which won't be much. Or as many. Or anything for Appearance.

I doubt it, the results would need to report success if it failed instead of the error messages, WebServers cant detect client-side browser rendering errors either so if they did code some purposely built errors it just to give that browser a lower score
The Acid3 tests have not been standardized yet hence why Microsoft will not support them with IE until they are (they dont want to split the web with standards using IE ever again like what happened before), I also noticed some tests (15) fail IE because it doesn't allow textfiles to execute scripts
One of the best IE addons was IE7Pro, Its having some issues with IE8 atm though
Does it really make that much of a difference what test the browsers can pass or not pass. Isn't really a personal choice. IMO it really does not matter; Opera is my browser of choice and will probably remind that way. Yes I tried all the others including some that aren't even listed, but I always end up using Opera. :)
Why do they need to bother when they own the Market??
IE 8 is definitely a step in the right direction. I feel Firefox has stagnated a bit. Chrome is definitely ramping up and I am using the SRware releases of Chrome and it freaking rocks. Tried Opera once felt too clunky and no way am I installing Safari with apple crap that gets bundled with it.
