Memory is what, $10/GB? Even if you only use the extra memory 5% of the time, it's worth an extra $50 or whatever. Especially on Vista/7 where you have Superfetch to make up for the fact that Windows decided it was a good idea to constantly close your apps every time you want to close a window, so you might launch programs like browsers a hundred of times a day.

Lol I would love that but I usually just buy a PC from an OEM or stuff delivered on a promotion basis when I sign up for products such as internet. Hopefully, the next PC I buy comes with this legendary godly scrolled RAM.

Don't you need three of those DDR3 sticks for optimal performance, since it is triple channel?

Well, thats because you dont have more RAM, when you get more, if you have like 8, it will use 4, believe me. In europe, 4Gb costs nearly 50€ (thats expensive...? ).

Even with no games, my rigs runs like 130% more faster (the OS itself, and all related applications) with 8Gb than with 4Gb, i´ve made that test to ensure my investment. If you want i can mention and list the applications and software.

Cheers.
