You would think that most people knew about this wouldn't you....well they don't. The following is an actual post from a forum here in good old Australia..posted today.
Hi, I"ve had this reoccuring problem with my pc lately. About every hour or so, it turns itself off. This is not your normal shut down process, the whole thing just switches off straight away, by itself, as if the power was turned off. I sent it to a computer store thinking it'd be and overheating problem. The guy says my pc averages about 33 degrees which is quite normal for my kind of usage. So over heating's been ruled out. He now reckons it might be a software corruption that causes it to switch off. I'm running two operating systems on my pc, windows xp sp3 and windows 7 evaluation version. I havent run the windows xp frequent enough ever since the problem started to determine if it affects that side of my hard drive. However the problem occurs every time windows 7 is on. Any ideas? Thanks.
The sad part is that the "computer store" didn't know what it was....and it took 4 posts of "other" suggestions before someone asked which Windows 7 he was using.....
