You can get back the blinking icon with Lanlights or a similar 3rd party tool.

I've tried that and it didn't look as nice as the MS version did, not to mention that it exited most of the times without any warning.

And yes mickey megabytes, it is the "xp network system tray icon-thingy used to animate". Thanks for clarifying it...

'Cut' option absent from right click
Hello folks, I recently clean installed windows and since then 'cut' option is absent from the right lick menu. Ctrl+X does not work either. Any idea how to bring it back? Thanks in advance.

May I safely disable "Media Features" from "Windows Features" menu?
I am currently perusing the "Turn Windows features on or off" menu and I see I can disable Media Features. This will disable Windows Media Center, Windows DVD Maker and Windows Media Player. HDD is absent??
OK! I have 2 X 500GB HDD completly new as is everythign in the system. The second HDD doesnt show up in Windows 7 inc. Disk Man... BUT it does show up in Device Man, BIOS settings and it did show up when steeing up windows 7. ?
