Important correction reguarding previous Microsoft Store URL

Yesterday night we reported that Windows 7 pre-orders were available on the Microsoft Store website. In our rush to get the news out to our visitors, we inadvertently included a link to the development version of the store (store.microsoft-ppe.com), and not the production version.

We noticed this problem first thing Friday morning and corrected the link in the story. We sincerely apologize to our members for this error.

We have received word that orders that looked like they were processed through the development version of the site will be cancelled, and your credit card should not be charged. If you have questions about if your order was processed correctly, we encourage you to contact the Microsoft Store at 1-877-MY-MS-STORE and verify the status of your order, or follow the order verification instructions on their site. Glad you posted this as I called and had to replace my order. Glad I sent my buddy to Amazon..... Free Shipping and no sales tax. I mentioned this to MS Store and at least got free shipping.

Didn't the notice from MS store say that you have the option to download? why get free shipping if you can download it?

Preference.................. I wanted the disks............. to each his own.

True, but I can also put (burn) it on a disk, print the cover and whatever....to each his own, like u said...
