Firefox 4 RC expected to ship roughly on March 9

Thanks Aaron. I've just installed it. I am very impressed with the 12 beta so this should be even better.
If you haven't tried it you should take a look at Lunascape 6: Lunascape Browser - Experience the world's only triple engine browser
It can use Trident, Gecko and Webkit engines and is generally pretty neat all round, some interesting ways of doing things:)

I doubt the official release candidate will be out by march 9th that is tomorrow and there has been no confirmation release date or any sign of it showing up this week so far.

It's March 9th here in Thailand 12:30 pm and from the time it took to dl rc1 to when I ran the install it is now the RTW 4 (no RC1)
Google Chrome has also gone to 10.xxx Update by going to "about Google Chrome"....updates automatically

The links to the RC up above (RC1, whatever it is) available days ago also show as 4.0. You sure it's still not the same one? Don't see a official RC posted at any of the usual links yet.

Before it defaulted to Beta 12 as most current when clicking on download.
-
Have a link that you can post that does that? The ones I have still give Beta 12 for the download.

I used the Major Geeks download.

The one here?

The same one I downloaded yesterday from majorgeeks. It shows as just "4.0" when installed, but it's the RC1. Possible it's going to be the final one, but I don't think the "official" RC's link been posted at all yet.

It's an official Firefox installation. Why would Mozilla drop beta 12 off title or not add RC1 ? I think they felt the heat of Chrome going to 10.XXX the same day and released it as 4.0. ......Incremental updates will come.
