They are nothing alike - one ribbon says Menu, the other says Firefox

Seriously, both of these browsers have been 'borrowing' ideas from each other for quite awhile now. And since I swap between both alternatively as my main browser, someone must be doing something right.

You said it,reg. exchange of ideas! I think everybody has 6-9 favourite websites they wanna keep and thus the "speed dial" idea germinated in Opera's soil and later was planted in the garden of FF!

Speed dial feature of FF is not as good as Opera. Being inbuilt in opera and as an add-on in FF makes a lot of difference.

The Foxtab add-on is nice though

Other than being built in, what does the Opera speed dial do that FF speed dial doesn't? I don't exacly think clicking "install now" is a big barrier to using FF speed dial.

I use both(Opera and FF speed dials), FF speed dial is much more powerful and configurable. I use three tabs of large speed dials in FF. I actually read my speed dials for updates in FF. Many of them I don't even need to click. I can read the weather, TV guide etc, right off the speed dial, others I can see if it is worth clicking, like if I have any new forum posts or emails, read news headlines to see if any are worth reading in depth. Heck, you can even scroll FF speed dials to read more with your mouse wheel. In FF speed dials can be a bunch of actually useful mini-web pages, rather than just static bookmarks.

Here is an example of how big, readable you can make FF speed dials(you could go even bigger but I like 8 to 12 dials per tab):

Things like Speed dial, are a good example of why I stick with FF. While other browsers may have similarly named extensions. Most of the time the Firefox versions work better, and are more powerful and more configurable.

I agree. The FF add-on is superior in so many ways.

The only thing I've never really liked is the ugly icon...

I never thought I would say this-I think I like this new FireFox better than IE. I have not used it long but I thought I would put it on and well...lets see. So far I like it just fine.
