Personally, I find it easier to search from the address bar, but suum cuique :)
And the Bing iPad app seems to be awesome, keep reading comments about how good it actually is hehe

The problem is, when it goes to bing, your search string is gone from the address bar. Before, you could just click on the search drop down and jump between search providers and not have to type your search in every time :/

Also, when you wanted to make a small change to the search string, it was always in the same place, you didn't have to scroll up for it or whereever it goes on each search provider. Was simple and easy and consistant. Now your search string dissapears and moves all over the place :/

Was a pretty big step backwards for doing anything other than a one shot simple search.

But if you're already loading the search engine's webpage, why do you need to search again? Whenever I search, I leave the results in the original tab and then browse them by opening them in a new tab. Yes, I can understand that it can be annoying, but on the other hand, Bing is also my browser homepage, so I 've gotten used to it.

I have to search again tons by subtly changing the search string to get maximum possible results. Also need to use 4 engines as well. When your looking for obscure OS config info or information on video codecs you need MASSIVE Search-Fu to find the info you need sometimes :)

Not that I think I will ever be a big Bing fan, but it certainly does illustrate the power of html5!

Just click the "magnifying glass" on the address bar, and all your problems will be solved. You can edit the search string, as well as use a different search engine by double clicking the search provider.
