I read on a foreign site that the laptop version will be released June 1 and the 8 core and 4 core Bulldozer version June 11. I think it was a Turkish site. It also said Bulldozer prices would be $700. And no, I don't believe that. However, if it is true, I won't be buying one. I don't care if it is stock at 5GHz, I'm not paying $700 for any CPU.

Well, if it is $700 for a Bulldozer, I won't feel so bad about buying a Phenom II x6 1090T at ~ 27% of that price.

I probably will too, but the only problem I have is the upgrade in performance with a 2500K for $25 more. But I already have one and wanted an AMD system.

The only benchmarking (if you can call it that) is from post #1. It's from a Chinese site so the reliability is questionable. That's all I have seen.

If all you're getting is 4.1GHz for $700 then what's the point?
I'm seeing overclocked i5 bundles for sale clocked at 4.7GHz at about $480. That includes motherboard and RAM.

I'm using an 15-2500K and am not now, but have OC'd it to 4.8. But, the point is the i5 is stock 3.3, if Bulldozer is stock 4.1 and unlocked that's a big difference. Not big enough for me to pay $700, but just making a point.
