Fix x64 Windows 7 SP1 Incorrect Memory Dump Files when Using Intel AVX

Microsoft has confirmed issues in which some customers running Windows 7 Service Pack 1 have come across incorrect memory dump files on their machines.
The problem also impacts Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 in addition to Windows 7 SP1, but only the 64-bit versions of the operating system when running on x64 Intel processors.

I downloaded and installed it my x64 computers. Then I checked by x32 computer and Windows had it there as a "recommend" so I installed it on my x32 computer as well.

You surely have this recommended ONE installed instead of this Intel AVX...seeing your specs you're AMD Athlon proc.

This particular update x64 bits Intel AVX described in softpedia does not apply to me aswell, even if i'm on an Intel Proc with Windows 7 x64bits

Yeah only certain processors have AVX instruction sets - seems the i7-900 series DO NOT have AVX instructions, thus they wouldn't be affected. Here's my i7-950....

So, if your processor doen't have AVX instructions you're not affected. And yeah, AMD chips aren't affected either.

My kernel is already a fraction of a version number higher than this. I don't know when that happened, but there you have it.

    ntoskrnl.exe # 6.1.7601.17592

Of course & therefore, the update is not applicable.
