So everyone run out and buy a couple HDD and then we will have a shortage. Hope the day traders don't hear about this. They will buy them all causing a shortage and price hike and then sell at a big profit.

Jim You may be on to something, Jim. Couple of my local big box stores always seem to have an excess of HDs. Went shopping today and at least 50% of the usual in-stock drives were on back order. My Guess Is That More HDDs Are Sold With PCs
then in the aftermarket.
Though I don't know that for sure.
In any case I expect the big customers like HP, Dell, Levono, Acer, Asus and Apple to get first dibs if there is indeed a shortage.
Most likely the shortage if there is one will be in the aftermarket.
