From my perspective, that is good news, since I just bought new hardware for DDR3. I would hate to think that it was already becoming obsolete.

That is good to hear. It will be nice to know I can upgrade without something better coming along shortly after

Also gives them more time to make DDR4 even better

Good news, although new hardware is always nice, DDR3 is very fast.
